RP Name:
Rank: ST PFC 1200 Cowboi
Which Commander your applying for: 501st
Age: 22
Why do you want to be [Commander]?:
I am interested in becoming a commander to provide an example for those who aspiring to learn leadership based skills. As its probably known, I am pretty old for the typical demographic of the player base of Star Wars RP. This allows me to set the example of how to know when to have fun, how to know when to be serious, how to listen, how to act, and an expanse of other skills that will make players want to join and stay within not only this battalion I would be running, but the server itself. I enjoy opportunities of when I get to guide people and instruct them when its okay to establish authority, but also understand authority is not necessary in most cases.
What would you do if you were?
I would run many activities that would engage my troops and any other troops that wish partake in them. Training is always a staple thing, but many training programs are dull and repetitive. Coming up with new ideas will keep the soldiers excited and eager for opportunities to become better and show off their skills. I will listen to suggestions and feedback from the troops to troubleshoot obstacles that we will face. Many leaders make the mistake that they are alone and must control every dimension. Its important to listen to listen to feedback when it can be given, so growth can always be present within the group.
What makes you different?
What makes me different is the information I described above. Too often on these servers do we see people in leadership opportunities become power-hungry and wish to simply boss every individual around. It is not fun or helpful for the player base when this is evident and can ruin servers from the inside. I, not only, want to show those who are serving under the 501st, how to work together, but those above me in rank, that working together is going to get things done far more effectively than disputing over petty issues. I would make the 501st the first 501st to not be a meme battalion on any server, because we have seen that all too often.
Last note: Balance fun and seriousness.
